Round 3 returns to Oregon for the 6th annual Desperado Hare Scramble at the Flying Blind Dirt Park in Prineville. Our second year with Outlaw Racing, Prineville Have a great time at this amazing private facility in Central Oregon and thank you for coming.
General Info
What’s it going to cost me to show up and race?
- Pro: $150
- Amateur: $75
- Youth: $35
- Pee Wee: $25
- Gate Fee: $10/person
- Camping Fee- $30/vehicle
Other Fees
- All racers must have a Moto-Tally Transponder – $10 (required and must be place under helmet visor, existing Moto Tally strip is okay to use if in good condition). Moto-Tally transponders typically last for multiple years if maintained properly, and are compatible with any series that also uses Moto-Tally scoring.
- All riders must be an AMA Member. Memberships are available at Registration:
- Day Pass Membership: $20 (Day Pass may credit towards Annual membership post-event)
- Annual Membership: $49
- All riders must run a requested and approved WHS number, or OMRA number for this event. You may request a series number, or simply purchase a single event pre-determined temporary number at registration for $10.
Anything special I need to bring/know for this race?
- Spark Arrestors are required.
- Fuel mats are required for Pit Row
- Cash, Credit Card and Venmo are accepted.
- No Pit Riding.
- Race will be rain or shine
- All riders may eMTB the race course when there is NOT a race in progress on that course.

The Terrain
Racers of the Desperado Hare Scramble can expect elevation ranges from 3700 to 4000 feet of high desert terrain – the soil type is a mix of clasy, volcanic sand and rock. The course is made up of mostly single track trails / two track trails through juniper tress and a natural terrain MX sections.
Terrain In The Area
The Flying Blind Dirt Park is located just outside of Prineville in Central Oregon, near the town of Bend, which has long been a hub for all things adventure. With Mt. Bachelor as its backdrop and over 300 miles of singletrack, it’s no wonder the Mountain Bike Action named Bend “the best mountain bike town in the country.”
